About the challenge
Welcome to Hack Days at Trent, a mini hackathon where creativity meets technology! Participants are invited to build innovative food and nutrition–focused applications using the Google Gemini API.
This challenge encourages you to explore how AI can transform the way we understand, create, and interact with food—from personalized nutrition insights to smart recipe generation and beyond. Whether you're designing tools for healthier eating, reducing food waste, or enhancing the digital food experience, this is your opportunity to turn ideas into impactful solutions.
Get started
Your project must integrate the Gemini API in a meaningful way. Some example use cases:
🥐 AI-generated recipes based on dietary needs (vegan, gluten-free, low sugar)
📊 Nutritional analysis of baked goods
🧠 Smart recommendation systems (“What should I bake today?”)

What to Build
